the inspiration behind tattoo butter came from years of whipped's owner lauren wiley getting tattoed & using the products recommended by artists. one artist would swear by a water based lotion, and another by petroleum laden baby products but none of the suggestions seemed to really provide a stress free healing process, or to enhance the color once it healed.
she sat out to invent something that was truly natural that would not harm the healing process, or affect the colors. thus spawned our tattoo butter which is a mix of super gentle shea butter, ultra healing aloe vera & skin restoring vitamin e. it's straight forward, smells pleasant & will slow down the aging process of your tattoos significantly.
